Today, President Barack Obama visited ZBB Energy Corp., a Wisconsin business benefiting from an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act-funded Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit and an ARRA-funded State Energy Program loan. U.S. Senator Russ Feingold, who joined President Obama on the tour, released the following statement on the president's visit:

"I was pleased President Obama took the opportunity to see firsthand one of the many Wisconsin businesses that will lead us into the new energy economy. ZBB Energy Corp. is one of the innovative Wisconsin businesses to receive the Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit, which was included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to help renewable energy start-up companies move their new technologies forward. I have been and will continue to be a strong supporter of investments in a clean energy economy to create jobs here in Wisconsin that can't be shipped overseas. I am also continuing to push my jobs tax credit proposal, which would provide a tax break to all Wisconsin businesses that hire new workers, expand hours for current employees, or increase wages."

Feingold is a strong supporter of green jobs and supports extending the Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit (48C), which was included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Earlier this year, Feingold asked the leadership of the Senate Finance Committee to extend the credit and to pay for it through offsets.
